Sarah Williams
Sarah has always been passionate about sport, spending most Saturdays at the local leisure centre as a child. However, it wasn’t until she started coaching gymnastics she discovered what chiropractic was and she have loved it ever since.
She successfully completed 5 years of chiropractic training at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, then moved to Swansea to continue her professional development under two mentors that were among the first chiropractors to set up in Wales.
To date, she is still very involved in sport and enjoys entering different sporting events each year and she also plays netball on a weekly basis. Due to her involvement in sport, she has a particular interest in treating injuries stemming from faulty movement patterns. Another area of interest for Sarah has been the treatment of headaches. As a migraine sufferer herself, having a colleague come to her aid on a training course a few years ago and almost instantaneously alleviating the symptoms of her migraine she has since focused her training to look at additional treatment methods appropriate for patients suffering with headaches and migraines.
Sian Lowe
Sian graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of South Wales in 2015, and has worked away since graduating. She returned back home to Swansea in 2017.
Sian’s approach to chiropractic care is to emphasise the importance of not only treating symptoms but also addressing the underlying causes of discomfort. Sian continues to expand her knowledge and training through further courses and keeping up to date with the latest research including pregnancy and paediatric care, kinesiology taping and dry needling. This enables Sian to combine various treatments that is unique for every patient. Sian loves to take time to get to know her patients and their life routines/updates in order to support them.
Sian has always had a keen interest in sports. Through injuries and wanting to maintain good physical care, this sparked her reason to become a Chiropractor. Sian likes to keep active in the gym, plays in several rounders’ leagues, and enjoys walking her dog, Sven.
James Crooks
As a keen sportsman, James experienced multiple sporting injuries at a young age which resulted in James seeking out chiropractic care with Sarah. James has had first hand insight into how chiropractic care can improve recovery and overall wellness which led him to pursue a career in chiropractic, with the goal of helping others the same way he was helped.
James completed five years of study at the University of South Wales, where he developed a strong foundation in chiropractic techniques, patient care, and rehabilitation knowledge. James is excited to bring these skills to Abertawe Chiropractic and continue to expand his knowledge base and treatment types to provide the most effective care for each individual.
Physical activity has always been an important part of James’ life. James has been involved in a wide variety of activities and currently he is enjoying running, weightlifting, and a little bit of surfing.
Born in Swansea and having lived in Skewen for most of his life, James is especially excited to work with people in the community he’s always called home. James looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your personal health goals!
